EDUCATION: Florida International University (BS), University of Miami (JD)
IF I WERE GOVERNOR: I would allocate additional resources to address climate change and, more particularly, sea level rise, which have become urgent issues along Florida’s coastlines that are vulnerable to the effects of extreme weather.
LISTENING: The Mel Robbins Podcast, which includes relatable topics and research-backed advice and the motivation and tactics needed for a successful work/life balance.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED: My parents were immigrants who left Cuba in 1970. I was born in Miami in 1975. My father was a custodian and my mother worked at a factory. Their strong work ethic and commitment inspired me to do the same. I am dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting those around me in the workplace and at home.
