GARY C. ROSEN

MANAGING SHAREHOLDER & CEO, BECKER, FORT LAUDERDALE

Rosen has been with Becker, a Fort Lauderdale-based commercial law firm, since 1982. Today, the firm has 380 professionals based across the East Coast and abroad. Rosen became chairman of the firm's litigation practice, then became managing shareholder and CEO in 2012. In 2018, he helped establish a professionalism and civility magistrate pilot program in Florida's 17th Judicial Circuit, which he says has become a model for how legal communities can promote a culture of respect, professionalism and ethical accountability. Rosen is a past chairman of the United Way of Broward County.

PERSONAL RESET: I focus on perspective and actions, separating emotion from facts, identifying what can be learned and moving forward by leveraging what's positive. Setbacks are inevitable; how you respond is what defines long-term success.

GIVING BACK: I proudly support the United Way of Broward County because of its lasting impact on our community. I've been involved with the organization for over a decade, including serving as chairman from 2020 to 2022. Its commitment to education, financial stability and health creates meaningful change for those who need it most.

NEXT BIG FOCUS: Professionally, continuing my firm's growth in our core practices of expertise throughout the East Coast. Personally, I would love to knock five strokes off my golf game.
