Managing Director, Fort Lauderdale Office,
Weiss Serota Helfman Cole + Bierman, Fort Lauderdale
Weiss Serota Helfman Cole + Bierman describes itself as a firm “at the crossroads of business, government and law,” as it represents governments, people dealing with local governments, and private entities. Cole has been a leader at the firm since 1999. As the chair of the Broward County Bar Association’s Law Firm Committee, he spearheaded the development of a special magistrate program to improve the level of professionalism and civility of attorneys in Broward County.
EDUCATION: Wharton School of Business (BS), University of Pennsylvania Law School (JD)
FIRST JOB: I am proud that just like Jeff Bezos, Kamala Harris, Rachel McAdams, Sharon Stone, Jay Leno, Pharrel Williams, Carl Lewis, Paul Ryan and Shania Twain, my first real job was at McDonalds as a cook and cashier.
DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: As an attorney for local governments, I have been at the table for many very important decisions but avoid involvement in the policy-making aspects of government. As an alternate career, I would like to be an elected official and set policy and enact laws.
