FRED E. KARLINSKY
SHAREHOLDER & CHAIR, GLOBAL INSURANCE REGULATPRY AND TRANSACTIONS PRACTICE GROUP, GREENBERG TRAURIG, FORT LAUDERDALE/TALLAHASSEE
Founded in Miami in 1967, Greenberg Traurig is a global law firm with more than 2,850 attorneys worldwide, including more than 400 attorneys in six offices throughout Florida. Karlinsky joined the firm as a shareholder in 2014 and has chaired the Global Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice Group ever since. In recent years, his advocacy work in favor of regulatory changes has helped stabilize and shape the future of Florida’s property insurance market. Karlinsky also advises start-up insurance companies and has served three terms on the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nomination Commission.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I would be a professional boxer. I live by the legendary boxer Mike Tyson’s mantra: “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
HOBBY: I have a passion for watch collecting, which combines my appreciation for craftsmanship, history and design.
