GrayRobinson is a legal and lobbying firm with nearly 300 attorneys, advisors and consultants serving clients from 16 offices throughout Florida and Washington, D.C. Cannon’s first job with the firm was in 1985 as a runner in its Lakeland office. He’s a former Speaker of the Florida House and, while in office, helped lead the most substantial reform of the state’s Medicaid program since its inception. He has led GrayRobinson since 2019.

FIRST JOB: My first job was on my grandfather’s farm in Plant City, growing a crop of mustard greens over the summer of 1983.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I think I’d be a mental health counselor. I love helping people and think as a society we need as much emphasis on mental health as we do on physical health.

“I’m a pilot, and I love flying. My dad, grandfather and uncle were all pilots, and my dad taught me to fly when I was a teenager.”
