Jill S. Schwartz & Associates is an employment law firm representing both employees and employers. It’s active in the litigation of employment cases and other workplace-related matters in both state and federal courts. Schwartz has been the founder and managing partner of the firm since 1992. The firm devotes significant time and resources to over a dozen charitable and nonprofit organizations each year. Schwartz organized and chaired a series of annual fundraising galas entitled “Life, Art, Music,” raising millions of dollars that were used to build Hospice House, Central Florida’s first inpatient facility for end-of-life care.

FIRST JOB: Having been raised by a single mother of three, I worked several jobs throughout high school to save for college, including Burger King, Sears and as a restaurant server. My first exposure to the legal profession was as a crime analyst for the New Brunswick, N.J., Police Department and as a research assistant for a professor of criminal justice, both while in college.

SOMETHING SURPRISING: I am a long-term practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and have studied several Eastern martial arts over several years.
