Founded in 1925, it has been committed to civic engagement for over a century, actively supporting more than 500 organizations in its communities. “Last year marked Gunster's centennial, and I just hit a personal milestone of 40 years at the firm — with the privilege of serving as CEO and managing shareholder for 18 of those years,” Perry says. He has also been engaged in leadership and strategic planning efforts with organizations such as the Florida Chamber Foundation, Leadership Florida, the Economic Council of Palm Beach County and the South Florida Regional Partnership.

giving back: The American Heart Association is a cause close to me, as heart disease has impacted many friends, family and colleagues. I've had the honor of serving as chair of the Palm Beach County Heart Walk, where I joined my firm in raising funds to support its research, education and outreach efforts for those affected by cardiovascular disease.

IN MY DOWNTIME: I'm a history buff with a particular focus on the Middle Ages and the Norman conquest of England. I'm currently reading a book entitled The Last Viking about Harald “Hardrada” Sigurdsson, the last Viking king who was defeated and killed at the Battle of Stamford Bridge — effectively ending the Viking Age.

NEXT BIG FOCUS: My wife and I want to complete as many of the great hikes in Europe as we can. We just returned from Norway, where we hiked Trolltunga. Another trip to Norway is in the near future.
