Lile, whose 85-year-old father still practices law in Ohio, is a solo practicioner who started his career working for large and boutique firms. He has specialized in estate and trust matters since 1984. For 17 years, his colleagues in Southwest Florida have elected him to the board of governors for the Florida Bar. He has served as the temporary clerk of court for Collier County when the elected clerk passed away. And he’s served on commissions, councils and task forces to address issues impacting the judicial branch.

CIVIC EFFORT
| The city of Naples recently amended the city charter to create an ethics commission. Being part of this initial commission will chart the course for the future, and it’s hugely important to get it right.

| I’m the under-performer among my parents’ children. I have two hugely accomplished sisters, both younger and both leaders in their fields — corporate law and medicine. Our parents pushed us, hard.
