PRESIDENT & CEO, VYSTAR CREDIT UNION, JACKSONVILLE
VyStar serves in excess of 1 million members with more than 2,200 employees in 79 branches across Florida and Georgia. It also operates 19 high school branches for student education. “In 2025, our employees volunteered 45,000-plus hours, and we donated $8.2 million to 400-plus nonprofits, because doing good in our communities is part of who we are,” says Wolfburg, who has led Florida's second-biggest credit union since 2017. The not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative was founded in 1952 as Jax Navy Federal Credit Union and became VyStar in 2002.
EDUCATION: State University of New York at Buffalo (BS), New York University (MBA)
giving back: Currently I am very engaged in efforts to construct a new museum of science and history in Jacksonville. I am currently chairing the capital campaign and a part of the executive committee as we work to construct a brand-new riverfront museum for our city on the rise. I am energized by the impact this museum could have on young people in our community, as well as the community as a whole.
DAILY RITUAL: Long-distance running, bicycling and exercising give me time to think clearly, reset mentally and stay grounded. Long-distance training helps me push boundaries, build resilience and bring focus to whatever comes next.
FOOD FIX: If I had my choice, it would likely be pasta.
NEXT GEN ADVICE: Stay curious, adaptable and grounded in purpose.
