TODD KOCOUREK

A Florida State University law school grad and attorney, Kocourek has been president and CEO of Florida First, a Small Business Administration certified development company and the largest Florida SBA lender, since 1998. Florida First was founded by the state in 1983 and licensed by the U.S. SBA as a certified development company since 1984. Its purpose is to encourage economic development for Florida, Georgia and Alabama by assisting small businesses. This year, it formed a partnership with the Florida Rural Economic Development Association to make a joint effort to provide rural businesses with help. Kocourek has served on the Florida Chamber of Commerce board of governors and chaired the Chamber’s International Business Council for five years. He’s also a past chair of the international law section of the Florida Bar and chair of the Florida Export Finance Corp.
