DAVID SWEENEY

PRESIDENT & CEO, RS&H, JACKSONVILLE

RS&H is a team of over 1,750 architects, engineers, planners, environmental scientists and consultants who create solutions for complex challenges faced by its clients in the aviation, aerospace, defense, financial, health care, science and transportation sectors. Sweeney has been CEO for 10 years and has been with the company for 27 years. He serves on the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Florida Council of 100 and the Jacksonville Civic Council Board of Directors.

EDUCATION:
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (BS)

FIRST JOB: My first job was pruning and shaping pine trees at a Christmas tree farm.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I think I would enjoy the adjacent field of construction management as it also focuses on the delivery of impactful infrastructure.

SOMETHING SURPRISING: I grew up in the rural, northeast corner of New York State, just north of the Adirondacks, near the Canadian border.

PASSION PROJECT: My wife and I are currently managing the complete renovation of our home in Jacksonville.
