BENJAMIN J. GIBSON

Founded in 1910, Shutts & Bowen is a business law firm with approximately 280 lawyers in eight offices across Florida. Gibson joined the firm's Tallahassee office in 2018 and has played a role in its growth as office managing partner. He previously served as chair of Florida's seven-member State Board of Education, overseeing Florida K-12 public education and the College System. Growing up with parents who were mental health counselors, “over the years I have been involved in raising awareness regarding mental health issues facing law students and lawyers and encouraging lawyers to adopt strategies and techniques to help manage stress,” he says.
