MENTOR: Linda Cox was my mentor and friend. Linda was a member of the Florida Legislature in the 1970s and then a lobbyist. Linda taught me about the political process, including how to achieve the elusive work/life balance. Linda was brilliant, tireless, fearless and kind.
READING: A Land Remembered, by Patrick D. Smith, as it is one of the most outstanding Florida historical novels.
INSPIRING FLORIDIAN: Lee Killinger, my husband of 31 years, is my inspiration. After all this time, I am still impressed by his superior intellect, strong wit, patience, and ability to face any situation with calm and aplomb.
