REGIONAL PRESIDENT, TRUIST’S FLORIDA NORTH REGION, ORLANDO

Truist is the ninth-largest bank in the U.S., with $535 billion in assets. Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Truist was formed in 2019 as the result of the merger between SunTrust and BB&T banks. Fisher joined Truist in 2021 after serving as regional vice president for the Greater Orlando region at TD bank.

IF I WERE GOVERNOR: My immediate focus would be on affordable housing. We should allocate greater resources to address this crisis, as well as provide educational programs to those who are struggling to overcome their financial and educational barriers.

READING: One of my favorite books is Extreme Ownership — How U.S. Navy Seals Lead and Win, by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. This is an outstanding book on establishing high-performing teams and the accountability of the decisions made daily, regardless of what industry and/or situation an individual faces.
