CARY PUTRINO

REGIONAL PRESIDENT, FIFTH THIRD BANK, TAMPA

Putrino joined Fifth Third in 2011 as the private bank director for Florida and became regional president in 2020. The bank operates 187 banking centers and has 1,513 employees statewide. Putrino has announced plans to open 50 new locations through 2028 and add commercial bankers and wealth management advisors. He serves on the Council of Governors for the Tampa Bay Partnership and currently co-chairs the partnership's housing affordability committee.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: Being a GM of a professional sports team would be a fascinating career. ... Growing up in a competitive household with equally sports-obsessed brothers, we immersed ourselves in every game we could play or watch. Today, we continue watching sporting events, and my favorite is the Buccaneers. Interestingly, leading a sports team shares many parallels with leading a region for a bank.
