Amerant Bank is a regional bank with assets of more than $10 billion that is now solely focused on Florida. It has more than 625 full-time employees and is known for its team members being actively involved in the community. Plush has been CEO for just over four years.

EDUCATION: St. Joseph’s University (BS)

FIRST JOB: My first job was in public accounting; One of my first assignments was being part of the audit team doing the annual audit of a local bank in Philadelphia. So that’s how I was introduced to banking as a career.

SOMETHING SURPRISING: Played in a rock band through college — and graduated with no debt and a new car.

NONPROFIT PASSION: Habitat for Humanity — I love to participate in their annual CEO Build and encourage our team members to actively support as well.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: Manage a sports team!
