A Jacksonville native, Lanahan has been with First Horizon Bank since 2021 following a long stint with Regions Bank.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I love helping people solve problems and talk through issues. If I wasn’t running a bank, I would likely have been a therapist or business coach.

INDUSTRY TREND: What excites me most is how we’re rediscovering the importance of human connection in banking. I’ve always believed in surrounding yourself with the right people and letting them do their jobs. While everyone talks about AI and digital transformation, the real trend I see is banks realizing that technology should enhance — not replace — personal relationships.
