Carlton Fields is a national law firm founded in Tampa 120 years ago, with 11 offices in six states, employing around 650. The firm represents businesses and individuals in the U.S. and internationally across a range of industries and practice areas. Sasso clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Byron White and worked for a boutique firm in Washington, D.C., before joining Carlton Fields in 1987. He headed the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and has been CEO since 2006.

| Sasso has chaired the board of trustees of the Straz Center for the Performing Arts for six years. He and the firm have worked to expand public transit and with black-owned businesses to make the Tampa Bay community more inclusive.
