CEO, BARRON COLLIER COMPANIES, NAPLES

Gable joined Barron Collier in 1999 as a project manager during the establishment of the town of Ave Maria and was named co-president in 2010 and CEO in 2017. A fourth-generation private investment, agriculture and land development firm, Barron Collier has 200 employees managing more than 2 million square feet of commercial property, homebuilding operations and private land holdings of more than 80,000 acres. Gable chaired the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees for six years, chairs the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and is part of the Florida Council of 100.

EDUCATION: Tulane University (BA), Florida Gulf Coast University (MBA)

FIRST JOB: Pumping gas at a Gulf Oil Station here in Naples the summer before high school. With the proceeds of that summer job, I purchased a stereo that I held on to for 15 years.

SOMETHING SURPRISING: I still play competitive soccer in a men’s league every Wednesday night.

PASSION PROJECT: I have been involved for the past few years with the Rooney Center for American Democracy at Notre Dame. It is a center dedicated to researching, supporting and advocating for democracy, and it has been a great privilege to be involved from its inception.
