CHAIRMAN, NAI/MERIN HUNTER CODMAN, WEST PALM BEACH
Merin, who once wanted to be an architect, took up home building before a recession in the 1980s led him to try commercial real estate. He founded the firm in 1983. Today it’s the largest commercial real estate firm in Palm Beach County, with offices in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. Merin is active in the county’s economic development efforts, and his firm has been instrumental in bringing over $4 billion of out-of-state investment into the region.
