He also leads efforts for the annual CBRE Cares Fall Softball Classic, a charity softball tournamentthat takes place each fall at Steinbrenner Field, the spring training home of the New York Yankees. This past year, the effort raised more than $65,000 for six local charities.

FIRST JOB: My first real job was scooping ice cream at Häagen-Dazs in the food court of Countryside Mall. While it may not have been the healthiest gig for someone with a sweet tooth like mine, it was one of the few places hiring teenagers. I even learned how to make an ice cream cake to perfection, which later proved to be a pivotal skill in winning my wife over when we first started dating.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I would absolutely love to be a high school baseball coach, not only for the lessons on the field but also for those off the field.

SOMETHING SURPRISING: I enjoy reading the Tampa Bay Times obituaries section and reflecting on the impact people have made in the lives of others.
