JEROME HOLLO
CEO, FLORIDA EAST COAST REALTY, MIAMI
Florida East Coast Realty (FECR) is a multibillion-dollar real estate development firm with a 60-plus-year legacy shaping Miami’s skyline. With approximately 150 employees, it has delivered iconic residential, commercial and mixed-use projects that drive economic growth. As a civic-minded company, it actively supports charitable, cultural and business initiatives across South Florida. Hollo has been a leader at FECR since 1995 and has served on the board of Miami's Downtown Development Authority.
EDUCATION: University of Miami (BA, JD)
FIRST JOB: A summer working as a carpenter’s assistant on the construction of what is now The Grand condominium. When the carpenters did not need my services, I was tasked to stock the required sheet rock throughout the building.
SOMETHING SURPRISING: I enjoy taking my motorcycles out to tracks located around the country to get a feel of the different courses.
PASSION PROJECT: I am working with our in-house architects to reimagine affordable housing, as it relates to vertical development, in order to provide for a quicker construction schedule at, of course, an affordable price.
NONPROFIT PASSION: Some nonprofits I am passionate about supporting include JAFCO, which provides care and support to Jewish children and families impacted by abuse and developmental disabilities; March of the Living, which powerfully educates youth about the Holocaust; Achieve Miami, which helps bridge the education gap for underserved students; and Camillus House, which serves the homeless and hungry in our community.
