With landholdings of approximately 167,000 acres primarily concentrated in five Northwest Florida counties, St. Joe develops its land for residential, commercial and hospitality development. It employs more than 1,000. Gonzalez joined the company in 2002 and has served as president and CEO since 2015. He serves or has served on numerous community boards and organizations, including as the chairman of the Bay County Economic Development Alliance, the Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center Board of Directors, the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Enterprise Florida and Florida State University’s Board of Trustees. Since 1999, the St. Joe Community Foundation has granted over $48 million to over 500 nonprofits supporting education, health care and culture/arts.
