Rieger joined Housing Trust Group in 2004 and has been CEO and president since 2011. It’s a multifamily real estate company that develops, builds and manages a diverse portfolio of affordable, workforce, market-rate and senior housing across the country. The company is one of the nation’s leading developers of affordable housing and has created more than 8,000 affordable apartments. “I’m proud to say that we’ve done a good job at helping to eradicate some of the stigma around affordable housing by creating high-quality communities that are indistinguishable from most market-rate apartments,” Rieger says.

MENTEE IMPACT: Seeing our development coordinators grow from starting with us to leading their own successful developments is incredibly rewarding — and now they’re mentoring others too, continuing the cycle.

HOBBIES: I love golfing whenever I get the chance. .... I’ve also been taken up by the pickleball craze over the last few years, so it’s a favorite of mine at the moment. Weightlifting is also something I do on a regular basis. However, the top priority for me is spending time with my boys which is my number one passion in life.
