Kerdyk purchased this company in 1991. Today, Kerdyk Real Estate is an independent commercial, residential and management real estate firm with about 50 employees. Also, Kerdyk Construction was recently incorporated with plans to begin operations later in 2024. Over the years, Kerdyk’s business and entrepreneurial interests have expanded from real estate to include banking and sports marketing. As vice mayor and commissioner in Coral Gables, Kerdyk initiated a $2-million “parknership” program to purchase and enhance open spaces and parks.

IF I WERE GOVERNOR: Climate change and sea level rise make Florida’s coastline especially vulnerable and require additional financial resources.
